Description
White vertical line(s) or band(s).

 Most likely causes
  • Lint or other foreign object behind the cartridge or inside the printer.
  • The print cartridge is near the end of its life.

 Troubleshooting and suggestions
  1. Remove the yellow cartridge and check for a foreign object (small pieces of paper, or other objects) behind the cartridge Pictures of the behind of the cartridge. Clicking this icon will open a new window. and inside the printer Pictures of the incide of the yellow missing cartridge. Clicking this icon will open a new window..
  2. Print out another set of test pages.
    Click   to print the test pages.
  3. Look at the new set of test pages. If performing Step 1 does not eliminate the issue, perform the Cartridge test procedure.
  4. If the issue is not resolved, contact HP.

Note: It is not necessary to replace the other print cartridges.
