View CPU utilization for all nodes in a cluster or for an individual node to monitor how close the processors are to the threshold settings or to investigate status messages.


	Node CPU Data Viewer

This display shows utilization data for the CPUs in a particular node. For information about disk or CPU thresholds or both, refer to Cluster Monitor - Cluster Monitor Resource Thresholds

CPU Utilization Information

Bar graphs show CPU utilization for each CPU in the node, expressed as the percentage of time (0 to 100%) that the CPU is executing a threshold other than the System Idle Process. The green bar indicates normal status condition.

If a system is in an Unknown or Critical state or if full communications do not exist, the bar graph is not displayed.


Note


	Place the cursor over a Threshold tag to display its set value.

Problem Information

A list of problems and recommended actions display at the bottom of the Data Viewer, keyed to the related CPU. There is one entry for each CPU that is exceeding its normal utilization range, a condition indicated by a yellow or red bar in the CPU Utilization and Capacity area.

Cluster Monitor Resources and Associated Settings

This version of HP Systems Insight Manager includes these node-level cluster monitor resources and associated settings:

CPU (refer to Cluster Monitor - Cluster Monitor Polling Rate or Cluster Monitor - Cluster Monitor Resource Thresholds)
Disk (refer to Cluster Monitor - Cluster Monitor Polling Rate or Cluster Monitor - Cluster Monitor Resource Thresholds for clusters)
System (refer to Cluster Monitor - Cluster Monitor Polling Rate for nodes)

	Viewing CPU Utilization

To view CPU utilization for all nodes in a cluster:

Select ToolsSystem InformationCluster Monitor.
On the Cluster Monitor page, click the cluster icon in the Cluster Tree window. Cluster information, including links to aggregate data views, displays in the Data Viewer window.
With the cluster selected, click the CPU link in the Aggregate Resource Information section of the Data Viewer window.

To view CPU utilization for an individual node in a cluster:

Expand the tree in the Cluster Tree window to view the cluster monitor resource links for the node.
Click the CPU link for the node to display utilization information in the Data Viewer window.
