Customize the banner to show the status of the following information:

  • Uncleared Event Status. A count that indicates the number of uncleared event statuses that are Critical, Major, Minor, and Normal for any given system list. Each underlined number is a hyperlink to a detailed list of events with that particular status. By clicking the number, an event list is displayed with those particular events and their corresponding systems.

  • Hardware Status. A count that indicates the number of systems, in a given system list, that have a system status that is Critical, Major, Minor, and Normal. Each underlined number is a hyperlink to a detailed list of systems with that particular status. By clicking the number, a system list appears with those particular systems. Hardware status is not shown by default but can be configured to appear.

  • Alarm. An alarm can be customized to appear for specific criteria for any given system list. The alarm alerts you that a particular criterion has been met by one or more systems in that list. Because the banner is continually updated, the alarm appears until the event is cleared, the system is removed from the list, or the alarm customization is changed so that it no longer applies.

  • Legend of Status Icons. A list displayed on the lower left side of the screen under the System Lists that displays the status icons. By turning off the legend, the System Lists menu grows and allows access to more lists. Refer to System Lists Page - System Status Types for more information on status icons.

If the banner is customized to have no status displayed, the timestamp does not display.

To customize the banner:

  1. Click [Customize] in the upper right corner of the banner area. The Customize Banner page displays.

  2. Select Show summary of and select uncleared event status, hardware status, or both.

    1. Select the system list All Systems, or select a system list from the dropdown list.

      Note: An error message is displayed if a folder is selected instead of a list.

    2. Edit the Label if desired.

  3. Select to Show an alarm when any system meets the condition.

    1. Select the Condition.

    2. Select the system list All Systems, or select a system list from the drop-down list.

    3. Edit the Label if desired.

  4. Select or clear the Show legend of status icons in lower left area of screen.

  5. Select [OK] to save changes.

    Note: Restore Defaults returns the customization screen to its default condition: only the uncleared event status appears in the banner. Hardware status and the alarm are turned off. The legend is turned on. All personalized information is removed.
