Configure single system protocol settings to fine-tune settings for individual systems or for a group of similar systems. This option is especially useful if some of your systems are accessed through a LAN while others are accessed through a WAN. Configure systems accessed through the WAN with longer timeouts and increased retries.
To set protocol settings for a single system or a group of similar systems:
Select Options Protocol Settings System Protocol Settings. Select the target systems. Refer to Using Tasks - Creating a Task for more information. Click [Next]. In the Ping (ICMP) settings section, select either:
In the WBEM settings section, select either:
Use values specified below. Enter the WBEM Username (for Windows based systems, the username should include the domain name, for example domainname/username), the WBEM Password, and Confirm Password.

In the SNMP settings section, select either:
Use values specified below. Enter the Network Timeout (seconds), Retries, SNMP read community string, and the SNMP write community string.

Use global defaults
Click [Prev] to return to the previous screen without saving any changes, click [Schedule] to schedule the task, or click [Run Now] to run the task immediately. Refer to Using Tasks - Scheduling a Task for more information on scheduling tasks.
