- Science Online Guide for Teachers
- E-Rate (Universal Service E-Rate Discounts offer up to $2.25 billion
annually in discounts toward the purchase of telecommunications
services, including internal connections and Internet access)
- Education Grants Index is kept up-to-date by the American Association of School Administrators.
- National Science Foundation's "Connections to the Internet" (A grant program in the category of innovative technologies for
Internet access for K-12 education institutions, public libraries,
and museums are due on January 31, 1998. Successful proposals
will normally be awarded a two year non-renewable grant of approximately
$15,000.)
- AAUW Educational Foundation (One of the nation's largest sources of private funding for educational
programs that directly benefit women and girls.)

- CAUSE (An organization whose aim is to aid educators in the effective
management and use of information resources -- technology, services,
and information in higher education.)
- The League for Innovation in the Community College (A non-profit educational consortium of leading community colleges
organized to stimulate innovation and experimentation in all areas
of community college development. The League serves as a catalyst,
project incubator, and experimental laboratory for community colleges
throughout the United States and Canada.)
- SyllabusWeb (This site contains useful information on technologies used to
enhance education.)
- League for Innovation's Technology and Learning Community (An Online Community Dedicated to Exploring, Expanding, and Improving
the Use of Information Technology in the Community College).
National HP Partnerships
- The Detwiler Foundation's "Computers for Schools" program refurbishes used PCs and donates them to K-12 schools
in California. They are in the process of launching a US-wide program.
HP is supporting the "Computers for Schools" program with obsolete
and customer returned equipment.
- Smart Valley's PC Day 2 will deliver 6,000 PCs to network-ready classrooms across California.
The Hewlett-Packard Foundation contributed $225,000 over two years
to Smart Valley's PC Day project.
- HP's College Recruiting Program web pages list student internships, job descriptions, interviewing
tips and more. It's never too early for K-12 students to begin
