1. Review this program in its entirety and verify that your trade-in servers are in good
working order and meet all
eligibility requirements.
Please note: HP e3000 trade-ins require completed Software License Transfer (SLT) paperwork. For Software License
Transfer (SLT) forms and assistance please visit

or call (408) 447-4185.
2. Determine the new HP Proliant server, or the qualified HP
StorageWorks NAS appliance, HP StorageWorks Modular SAN Array 1000 (MSA1000), HP StorageWorks Tape Drives you will
be purchasing or leasing. For
standard rebate requests,
please utilize the
trade-in rebate value matrix to estimate your potential trade-in rebate.
Volume rebate requests will
require additional information and analysis by Trade-In Headquarters.
3. Visit and complete the
quote request form
by providing basic contact information,
details on trade-in product and details regarding your potential purchase. You will receive a congratulations
email acknowledging your information has been received and an acceptance notification email confirming that your
quote request is being processed. It will contain your quote request number, which should be used when inquiring
about your trade. Within 2-4 business days you will receive your quote and confirmation email outlining your
trade-in rebate along with instructions on how to accept the quote and execute the trade. You will have 30 days to
accept or reject the quote. If you do not contact Trade-In Headquarters within 30 days,
your quote will automatically be cancelled.
4. If you accept the quote, complete the End User Information provided in the quote
and confirmation email. Fax a copy of the signed form to 770-925-9064, Attn: HP
Server Trade-In Manual Quotes Processing. This must be received within 30 days of receipt of the quote and
confirmation email.
5. Purchase or lease your new qualified HP Proliant server with
qualified options, or your new qualified HP StorageWorks NAS appliance, MSA1000, or Tape Drives. Product must be
purchased no earlier than 30 days before and no more than 30 days after the quote date.
6. Please fax a copy of the Invoice confirming your new server purchase to 770-925-9064,
Attn: HP Server Trade-In Manual Quotes Processing. If your trade-in is an
HP e3000, please include a signed copy of the Software License Transfer (SLT)
(see item 1 above.) At no additional charge, Trade-In Headquarters will supply all packing material and will
contact you to coordinate pickup of trade-in equipment. You are required to prepare the equipment for pickup
utilizing the supplied packing materials with the pickup being executed within 90 days
from submittal of the Invoice.
7. Once the equipment is received, it will be inspected to see that it is in good working order.
A physical inventory will also be performed and the results compared to the product information that
was provided.
8. If there are no discrepancies and the equipment meets program eligibility standards,
a check will be issued within 30 days upon receipt of the returned equipment. The check amount will
reflect the agreed upon rebate amount outlined in the quote and confirmation email and will be
sent to you or your authorized reseller.
Upon inspection, if it is determined that the equipment traded-in is not in good working order or does not meet program
eligibility standards, you will be notified and provided with a modified trade-in rebate quote based on the condition of
the equipment. If you accept, then the new quoted trade-in rebate amount will apply. If you decline, a recycling fee
will be charged or the equipment will be returned at your expense.
HP Trade-In Headquarters will manage all discrepancies.
