Promotion in brief

Effective February 1, 2008 thru October 31, 2008, trade-in any HP or competitor's hub, switch, router, or wireless device and receive cash back of at least 10% of the purchase price of the eligible ProCurve Networking by HP products. Please see Terms and Conditions for a complete list of eligible ProCurve Networking by HP purchase products.

Eligibility rules


  • Please read the terms and conditions carefully to be sure you qualify for this cash back offer.
  • Combining the It Pays to Trade ProCurve Networking Promotion with Big Deal pricing may be subject to ProCurve management approval.
  • This offer available to continental U.S. (Alaska and Hawaii excluded) and Canada residents only. Canadian customers will be shown US values and paid in U.S. dollars.
  • The last day to file a trade-in claim is October 31, 2008.
  • The total number of ports being purchased must be within plus or minus 20% of the total number of ports being traded in.
  • The maximum cash back amount per company (all locations) per 12 month period (measured from the Claim submission date) is $50,000.

Process steps


  1. Submit your trade-in claim using our online claim form. When submitting your online Networking trade-in request, each entry must consist of two parts- the Networking trade-in information and the corresponding ProCurve Networking by HP purchase. Thus, for each Networking trade-in model there must be a corresponding ProCurve Networking by HP purchase. If your Networking trade-in request is large or cannot be entered in this manner, please contact customer service to receive a manual claim form. The last day to file a claim is October 31, 2008.
  2. You will receive a Confirmation Email. Please review to make sure all trade-in information is complete and accurate. The Claim Submission date is the date the "Confirmation Email" is sent.
  3. Purchase from the list of eligible ProCurve Networking by HP product(s) listed in the Terms and Conditions from HP or an HP authorized reseller. The total number of ports being purchased must be within plus or minus 20% of the total number of ports being traded in. The new ProCurve Networking by HP product(s) must be purchased with an Invoice date either 30 days prior to the Claim Submission date, 30 days following the Claim Submission date, or by October 31, 2008, whichever occurs first.
  4. Fax your purchase invoice(s) for your new ProCurve Networking by HP product(s) within 30 days from Claim Submission date to 770-925-9064. The new ProCurve Networking by HP product(s) purchase invoice date must be either 30 days prior to the Claim Submission date, 30 days following the Claim Submission date, or by October 31, 2008, whichever occurs first.
  5. You will receive return shipping instructions and for your old hub, switch, router, or wireless device. The trade-in unit(s) must be shipped within 60 days from the Claim Submission date using pre-paid shipping label(s).
  6. Trade-in Cash Back checks will be issued within approximately 6 to 8 weeks after the Purchase Invoice has been validated and the receipt of your traded product(s) has been completed, whichever is later.
