How does the trade-in process work (if applicable)?

- The Trade-in Product(s) must be located in the U.S.
- HP will pay usual and customary shipping charges for shipping the Trade-in Product(s) as part of this promotion when its designated freight carrier is used.
- You must contact HP's designated freight carrier to schedule pick-up.
- The shipping instructions are valid for thirty (30) days from the issue date.
- The Trade-in Product(s) must be picked up within thirty (30) days from the date you submit the online claim form or by March 2, 2009, whichever date occurs first, for the appropriate cash-back allowance.
- Trade-in Product(s) are any (HP or non-HP) large-format pen plotter, inkjet printer, electrostatic plotter, thermal plotter, laser/LED plotter/printer or vinyl cutter that's 24" or greater.
- Trade-in Product(s) must be received in good working condition.
- Trade-in Product(s) must be returned with all appropriate manuals, paper trays, and cutter assembly and power cords and must be capable of generating a test print or sample decal/logo.
If any of these items are missing when received by Market Velocity, HP may refuse to pay the cash-back amount. All ink and toner must be removed from the printer(s) prior to shipping, and
must be packaged separately. They may be included in the same package as the Trade-in Product, but they must be wrapped and bagged separately.

Once your claim is received by HP's promotion headquarters, you will receive a confirmation e-mail with a quote number
immediately. Reference this number for all questions relating to the promotion.

Within one (1) business day after the claim is submitted and initial eligibility is confirmed, shipping instructions and
a shipping placard will be sent electronically to you for pick up of the Trade-in Product(s). A second e-mail will be
sent out as a reminder five business days following the first e-mail.

HP will pay usual and customary shipping charges for shipping Trade-in Product(s) as part of this promotion when its
designated freight carrier is used.

You must contact HP's designated freight carrier to schedule pick-up.

You must return Trade-in Product(s) in accordance with the instructions provided by HP, and make them available
for pick-up by HP's designated freight carrier during scheduled pick-up time. Please allow a minimum of three days
for pick-up. HP's freight carrier will deliver the Trade-in Product(s) to HP's designated location at HP's expense.
The Trade-in Product(s) must be picked up within thirty (30) days from the date you submit the online claim form

The serial number can be found on the box the printer came in next to the UPC symbol. Or you can find it on the printer itself.


What if one of my old products is damaged? Do I still get a cash-back amount (if applicable)?
No. You have the option of not returning your product but if you do this offer is valid only for Trade-in Product(s) that are in good working order with no more than minor cosmetic damage.
To receive the cash-back amount, the Trade-in Product(s) must be returned with all appropriate manuals, paper trays, cutter
assembly and power cords and must be capable of generating a test print or sample decal/logo. If any of these items are
missing when received by Market Velocity, HP may refuse to pay the cash-back amount. All ink and toner must be removed
from printer(s) prior to shipping, and must be packaged separately. They may be included in the same package as the

Do I have to handle the trade-in process myself or can my reseller assist me?
By all means, your reseller can assist you.


Can I combine HP Cash In & Trade Up with another offer?
This offer may only be combined with the HP Trade Show promotion, and may not be combined with
HP discount offer such as education rebates, big deal pricing and volume discounts.


Can I purchase/lease and trade in multiple products?
Certainly, this is a one-for-one trade only. You have the option to keep or trade in a qualifying old, large-format printer, plotter or vinyl
cutter for a cash-back allowance towards the purchase/lease of one eligible new HP Designjet printer, there is no limit to
the number of purchases/leases and trade-ins you can make. Please contact customer service if you would like to trade-in your product.


How is the money for the trade disbursed?
Once the product in question has been received (if applicable), inspected, and approved as sellable by Market Velocity—and once the new HP
product invoice, print sample/decal/logo from trade in product(s) and the acceptance notification e-mail have been mailed
to Market Velocity—cash-back checks will be mailed within 6 weeks. If you have not received your check within eight (8)
weeks from the time you shipped your product and provided proof of your new purchase, whichever is later, please contact
customer service.
