Copy

Single sided
  1. Load your originals face up in the RADF or face down on the right side of the glass (close the RADF lid). Adjust the paper guides to the originals.
  2. Touch 1 to 1 on the main screen to make one-sided copies from single-sided originals.
  3. Select the number of copies. Press Start to print.
Single sided to double sided
  1. Load your originals face up in the RADF or face down on the right side of the glass (close the RADF lid). Adjust the paper guides to the originals.
  2. Touch 1 to 2 on the main screen to make two-sided copies from single-sided originals.
  3. Select the number of copies. Press Start to print.
Double sided to double sided
  1. Load your originals face up in the RADF or face down on the right side of the glass (close the RADF lid). Adjust the paper guides to the originals.
  2. Touch 2 to 2 on the main screen to make two-sided copies from two-sided originals.
  3. Select the number of copies. Press Start to print.
Zoom mode
  1. Place the original document in the RADF input tray or face down on the right side of the glass. Adjust the paper guides to the originals.
  2. Touch ZOOM on the main screen. (The Verti./Horiz. option is highlighted automatically.)
  3. Use the numbers or arrows on the pop-up menu to set the desired ratio.
  4. Touch OK.
  5. Select the number of copies. Press Start to print the enlarged image.
Ledger to letter instantly
  1. Load your ledger-sized originals face up in the RADF or face down on the right side of the glass (close the RADF lid). Adjust the paper guides to the originals.
  2. Touch a tray that is loaded with letter. Notice the percentage in the Lens Mode section.
  3. Select the number of copies. Press the Start button.
Copy mixed originals
  1. Load your mixed originals in the RADF with the top left corners matching.
  2. Adjust the paper guides to the originals.
  3. Touch SPECIAL ORIGINAL on the Main screen.
  4. Under SPECIAL ORIG., touch Mixed original.
  5. Touch OK.
  6. Select the number of copies. Press Start to print.
Replication using book copy
  1. Place your originals face down on the right side of the glass. CAUTION: The maximum weight for a book is 15 pounds or 6.8 kg.
  2. Touch 1 to 2 on the Main screen to make two-sided copies from single-sided originals.
  3. In the Copy Size section, select 8.5x11.
  4. In the Function section, touch APPLI. and select Book Copy. Select Front/Back Cover + Full Scan. Touch OK until you see the main screen.
  5. Press Start to scan each set of pages you need to complete your book. First, scan the front cover, followed by the back cover. Once the covers are finished, scan the inside pages two at a time.
  6. Press STORE to end the scanning process, then press Start to begin copying.
Paste an image on a finished copy (watermark)
  1. Load your originals face up in the RADF. Adjust the paper guides to the originals.
  2. In the Function section, touch APPLI., Stamp/Overlay, Watermark, and then choose "Top Secret." Touch OK until you see the main screen.
  3. Select the desired quantity, and press Start to print.
Staple
  1. Load your originals face up in the RADF or face down on the right side of the glass. Adjust the paper guides to the originals.
  2. Touch Staple Sort in the Output section of the main screen.
  3. Select the number of copies. Press Start to print and staple.
Clearing errors
Clear errors - fuser
  1. When a paper jam occurs the main screen will indicate that there is an error.
  2. Touch 'Illustration explanation' on the screen and follow the illustrated steps to fix the jam.
  3. You can also determine where jams are located by looking at the Jam Indicator Board inside the front doors. Lights on the Jam Indicator Board become illuminated when a jam occurs.
  4. Follow the illustrated steps to fix the jam.
Clear errors - tray 1
  1. When a paper jam occurs the main screen will indicate that there is an error.
  2. Touch 'Illustration explanation' on the screen and follow the illustrated steps to fix the jam.
  3. You can also determine where jams are located by looking at the Jam Indicator Board inside the front doors. Lights on the Jam Indicator Board become illuminated when a jam occurs.
  4. Follow the illustrated steps to fix the jam. NOTE: The HP 9085mfp paper trays 1, 2, and 3 each contain a locking mechanism on their respective left sides. The mechanism locks the paper trays into position when the MFP is in power off mode, when the ADU is pulled out, or when the MFP experiences certain paper jams. The mechanism is also in lock position when one of the three paper trays is pulled out (for example, if tray 1 is pulled out, trays 2 and 3 lock). If a tray does not open, you can unlock the tray by completing the following steps.
    1. Open both front doors of the MFP.
    2. Locate the black button on the left side of the respective tray.
    3. Press the black button while carefully pulling the tray out.
Clear errors - tray 2
