new capabilities for SAP NetWeaver. HP and SAP together provide reliable output
and print management for business critical documents. In fact, over 10 years ago
HP and SAP jointly developed the Extended Output Management Interface (BC-XOM) for

Based on the success SAP customers have achieved with HP's existing output management solutions, SAP selected
HP's print and output management technology as its preferred strategic platform for its Enterprise Service
Oriented Architecture platform. Both companies will jointly develop output management solutions to help
customers more rapidly and reliably manage information throughout their organizations.

print management tools. A lack of end-to-end visibility for print jobs results in business disruptions or downtime,
including backlogs caused by printer jams and paper outage. Thousands of help desk calls are generated annually
because of lost printed documents - a situation that results, for example, in invoices not delivered, shipping
manifests not printed, purchase orders delayed, and the bottom line impacted.
SAP and HP teamed up to offer a solution to the print management complexities that face enterprises. This

A decade focused on Output Management
HP has been a partner with SAP on output management solutions for 10 years. The HP output management technical
team defined the first standard interface from SAP for delivery of business critical SAP documents. That BC-XOM
interface is still in use today. Many large global enterprises use it to print critical business documents such as
