Plan a scanner scavenger hunt
A scavenger hunt is a great learning experience for curious children. Here, Oggie prepares to scan his scavenger hunt artifacts.
Use gathered scavenger hunt artifacts (photos or 3-D objects) to create a scanned keepsake project—or even a science or biology report for school. You can even create a scavenger hunt project simply for the fun of it!
Here are a couple ways to get the adventure rolling:
Find focus: Give them inspiration and focus by printing up a list of 10-15 objects that one might find in your chosen territory (leaves, pine cones, etc). When making your list, consider the season, the time of day, and the environment.
Set boundaries: Whether it's a public park, your own backyard, or even along city streets, decide where your little scavengers are going to roam, and then set clear location boundaries.
Family photo fun with HP scanners
You can scan pretty much any 3-D object-even pinecones.
Here are a few more ways to turn scanning time into family time:
Scan and share kids' artwork
Scan your child's artwork to make customized gifts and keepsakes.
Scan 3-D objects
Scanned objects can be used to make one-of-a-kind projects-from photo journals to scrapbooks to school presentations.
Scan and print photo collages
Combine materials such as photos, stickers, newspaper clippings, fabric, and more into collages.
