Olivia: age 6
Project: Colors and ABCs

On screen: Olivia loves the color red! Watch as she and her dad find everything red, and with the help of their compact photo printer, turn their photos into art pieces and learning tools.

Dad: What were you supposed to take pictures of?

Olivia: Red things

Dad: What color?

Olivia: Red

Dad: Red. So like what kind of red things did you find?

Olivia: I found some red roses.

Dad: What else.

Olivia: A fire thing.

Yea, I took little Henry and he watched.

Dad: Are you good with the camera?

Olivia: Uh-huh

Dad: Did you like that little printer?

Olivia: Yea, that was pretty cool!

Dad: So what did you like about the printer?

Olivia: I liked that you could color (laughter).

Dad: Do you remember when Daddy wrote words on the pictures?

Olivia: Yep.

Dad: That was cool, huh?

Olivia: The next time we do it, I want to look for green stuff.

Oggi: Age 7
Project: Exploring nature

On screen: Join Oggi as he explores the wilderness near his home to create a scientific photo journal/. Watch as he finds things he never would have noticed before and documents them with the help of his HP photo scanner.

Oggi: We went around Johnson Creek. We just, well, we were looking for like dead trees and stuff.

And we found a lot of cool stuff on that scavenger hunt. Flowers, pinecones, whatever those white things are. Moss, bark, flowers, flowers, And more flowers and more flowers and more flower and more flowers, etc.

And we took a lot of pictures.

It was pretty fun, I have to say.

I, like, saw all these interesting things that I wouldn't have noticed if I had just walked by.

I'd really like to make a scientific journal, sort of, of things I found on the scanner.

Sort of for my science laboratory desk.

Yes, I have to say that today has been the most fun day of my life for a long time.

That was my interview.

Lisa: Age 5

Project: Photos of favorite places

On screen: Lisa and her mom took a trip downtown to one of her favorite places: the museum! See what they found and the HP photo book they created afterwards to make the memories last.

Lisa: We went out to downtown.

Mom: You went around downtown?

Lisa: Yes

Mom: What did you do downtown?

Lisa: Umm, well, I took pictures.

Mom: You did, what did you take pictures of?

Lisa: I took pictures of some of the sculptures in the sculpture garden, but first I did the dogs.

Mom: What would you call this picture? If you had to think of a name for this picture what would you call it?

Lisa: I would call it, "Dancing Flying."

Mom: "Dancing Flying,"

Lisa: Yes

Mom: That's a perfect name for it I think.

Mom: What about this one, what would you call that one?

Lisa: "Smiling Out."

Mom: Smiling Out".cool.

Lisa: This one is a picture of locks on bikes.

Mom: What is this thing?

Lisa: It's a book.

Mom: A book.who made it?

Lisa: My mom and me.

Mom: You just bend back the book like this-you bend back the spine and it opens up.

Lisa: And you put it in. It's as easy as that!
