Introduction

HP iPrint Photo is a free software application, available for download from the iTunes App Store. With HP iPrint Photo, you can quickly and easily print the pictures from your Apple iPhone or iPod touch to a Wi-Fi-connected HP printer.

How it works

Just follow these steps:
  1. Download iPrint Photo from the iTunes App Store directly from your iPhone or iPod touch.
  2. Click the HP Print icon.

Tips for better pictures from your handheld

Blurry photo of girls with balloons
To prevent blurry pictures, steady your iPhone on a stable surface before you click.
  • Don't worry if your photos look a little grainy before you print. HP iPrint Photo software uses de-noise filtering technology to improve and clarify your pictures.
  • Camera phone photos are often blurry, but if you take steps to stabilize your iPhone, you can get great, print-worthy shots. Try placing your camera on a stable object–a table, a stack of books–even a fence post.
  • Use the Darkroom application available at the iTunes App Store. Darkroom will sense when your hand is stabilized before taking a picture.
  • Edit before you print. There are plenty of free and low-cost applications at the iTunes App Store that allow you to improve your iPhone photos. For example Photogene can help you fix underexposed pictures.
  • To get the best prints at the best price, use an iPrint capable photo printer, like the HP Photosmart Premium Web All-in-One, and HP ink and photo paper. HP Photo Value Packs—ink and photo paper bundled together for a set number of prints—are the most affordable option.

Turn your photos into art

An image edited with Colorsplash
The Colorsplash application lets you get creative by mixing black-and-white with color.
There are hundreds of fun applications out there for photographers. With a few clicks, you can turn your pictures into greeting cards, transform them into dramatic pieces of artwork, or enhance them with out-of-the ordinary effects before you print.

Here are just a few examples, all of which are available at the iTunes App Store:

  • Antique It! adds sepia tones and faded edges that make your photos look like they are from the 1930s.
  • iStylist lets you add different hairstyles–including celebrity 'dos–onto the people in your pictures.
  • Tattoo Shop lets you have fun with your photos by adding tattoos to them.
  • Colorsplash helps you create dramatic images that are black-and-white with a few details in color.

Print any picture from the Web

iPod touch with image of map
You can capture any image you find online as a screen shot–and then print using HP iPrint Photo.
Print images from any website–from directions to the hotel you're staying at to pictures from Facebook or Flickr.

It's easy: Just take a screen shot first, then print the screen shot:

  • Press the home button (the one on the front of your handheld with the square in it).
  • Quickly press the power button (on the top). (Note: if you hold the button down for too long, you'll power off your device.)
  • The screen will flash white and the image from the screen will be saved to your Photos album and ready to print.
