Introduction |

Photo collages make memorable gifts for special occasions like graduation and Father's Day. With an HP Photosmart All-in-One, it's easy to scan old photos, print new ones,
and combine them with other objects and pictures to create a collage to commemorate any celebration.

Step 1: Gather, scan, and print
|

Print and scan favorite photos on an HP All-in-One like the HP Photosmart C8180.
Then, make new prints that you can cut to fit the collage, while protecting the originals.
For a graduation theme, scan other items like maps, pictures of the graduate's next school or town—even 3D items, like sports medals. A central piece—like a quotation—is a nice way
to set a tone.

Step 2: Arrange the collage
|

Cut out the pieces of the photos and scanned images you want to include in the collage. Artfully arrange them on a piece of 8.5" x 11" plain paper. Then use restickable
tape to affix them to a piece of paper (the background for your collage). If you'd like, use another image like an enlarged photo–or an image like a map–as the background. |

Step 3: Scan and copy collage
|

Import the scanned image into the imaging software, and perform any desired edits to the image. Print the image on 8.5" x 11" matte or soft gloss photo paper like
HP Advanced
Soft-gloss Photo Paper. You can frame your masterpiece, or even make smaller 4" x 6" prints. For a poster-sized collage, try scanning your original in two pieces, enlarging them both,
and mounting the prints on a large sheet of foam core.
