Many digital cameras have a red-eye removal mode. But you can also avoid red-eye by turning off your camera's flash. (You don't need to use a flash for most daytime photos anyway.)

If it's too dark to photograph without a flash, ask your subject to look toward the camera, but not directly at the lens. Also, try standing farther away from your subject. |
