Remove red-eye using your HP Printer |
 |

Red-eye occurs when our retinas reflect the light from a camera flash.
|
 |
The flash on a camera is often bright enough to illuminate the blood vessels in a subject’s eyes, making them appear red in images. Although it’s a small flaw, red-eye can ruin an otherwise-great picture.
Fortunately, there are three different ways to remove red-eye using editing functions available on most HP Photosmart Printers:
- Press the one-touch Red-Eye Removal button on the front of the printer.
- Use the Auto Photo Fix feature to automatically improve your photo.
- Activate the red-eye removal editing feature for instant results.
Keep reading to see how each of these methods works, and to identify which may be available on your printer.

Method 1: One-touch Red-Eye Removal button |

Photo editing doesn't get much easier than this: The HP Photosmart Premium Fax All-in-One features a one-touch Red-Eye Removal button.
After you insert your memory card and select the photos you want to print, simply press the Red-Eye Removal button on the display panel.
That's it! As long as the one-touch function is activated, red-eye will be eliminated from each photo before printing—automatically. To turn off this feature, just press the Red-Eye Removal button on the control panel once more.

Method 2: Auto Photo Fix feature |
 |

The HP Photosmart Premium All-in-One also offers an automatic photo fix feature, so you can remove red-eye in-printer—no PC needed. |
 |
Some printers, like the HP Photosmart Premium Web All-in-One, allow you to correct red-eye via an Auto Photo Fix feature. This function is conveniently built in on select HP Photosmart All-in-Ones and automatically activates each time you upload photos from your memory card.
To disable the Auto Photo Fix feature:
