An HP All-in-One printer printing digital photos

What is an all-in-one?

HP all-in-ones (AIOs) combine essential pieces of equipment—such as a printer, scanner, copier, and, on some models, a fax—without sacrificing image quality. AIOs offer you more for less. They cost less, take up less space, and use less energy than individual units. And with their photo-friendly features—like image-editing software, automatic photo feeders, and memory slots for printing without a PC—you'll never run out of creative project ideas.

Photo features

Many HP all-in-ones offer extra features for digital camera users. Here are two of the most useful:

Preview photos before you print. You may view your photos on the printer's LCD screen or use the HP photo proof sheet. To use the proof sheet feature: First, you'll print the proof sheet, which contains small versions of your photos. Then you'll mark the photos and sizes you'd like to print, reinsert the proof sheet, and print.

Get creative with software. HP all-in-ones come equipped with helpful software. Use HP Photosmart software to edit images, make album pages, and more. E-mail pictures without large attachments using HP Photosmart Share. The creative possibilities are endless.

Many HP AIOs offer additional photo features:

  • Print and copy photos with or without borders.
  • With HP inkjet technology, print photos that resist fading for generations—twice as long as most traditionally processed photos.
  • Print frame-by-frame sequences of digital video clips without your PC.
  • Produce photos with sharper colors and smoother transitions.
  • Easily edit images on the color LCD.
  • Touch-screen display provides an easy, kiosk-like printing experience at home.
  • Print photos taken from your camera phone using wireless technology.

Printing and copying

There's a multitude of creative options when you use your HP all-in-one for printing and copying photos. You get quick, professional results every time:

  • Print and copy in color on several paper types. If you're a photo enthusiast, you'll enjoy printing on photo paper, card stock, iron-on T-shirt transfers, and other media.
  • Print quickly. HP all-in-ones offer impressive printing speeds. Some print color at up to 20 pages per minute (ppm) and black-and-white at up to 30 ppm—ideal for home printing needs. Copy speeds may vary slightly.
  • Print high-resolution photos. The high-resolution capabilities of HP all-in-ones guarantee sharp photographs and documents, regardless of their size.
  • Print lab-quality photos. With genuine HP supplies, you'll print and share memories that last. Get the longest-lasting, true-to-life color photos with the look and feel of traditional photographs using HP Vivera inks and HP Premium Plus photo paper (With photo value packs, you can create prints for as low as 24¢ each!)
  • Reduce, enlarge, or make fit-to-page prints. It's easy to get the size you want—just adjust the image directly on the AIO.
  • Hold up to 24 sheets of 4" x 6" paper in the extra photo tray equip on some models, which is easily stored when not in use.

Many HP all-in-ones have HP Media Sense technology, which automatically detects and selects the right paper size for your print.

Scanning

Scanning and archiving photos is a great way to preserve your memories for years to come. Many AIOs come with special scanning features for digitizing your photos:

  • Automatic photo feeders make it easy to scan a stack of pictures.
  • HP PrecisionScan software will scan a photo and send it to your fax program.
  • You'll capture more accurate color and smoother transitions with high-resolution scanning.
  • Fine-tuning scans is easy with settings such as output type, resolution, sharpening, exposure, and color.

Faxing

With the built-in fax capability available on some all-in-ones, you don't need a separate machine. Some models even send and receive faxes in color.
