OUTDOOR FURNITURE BECOMES TEMPORARY INDOOR SOLUTION

I purchased a lovely outdoor patio set just two months before we had to unexpectedly move into a new home. We never got a chance to set it up, and it ended up among the many items we hauled on a trailer when we moved. Upon setting up our new residence, we encountered a few problems that kept us from completely unpacking all of our belongings, and the majority of our furniture remained at the back of our storage shed.

Fortunately, the outdoor lawn furniture was easily accessible, pristine, and ready to be used! We set it up immediately in our living room as a temporary solution to our lack of seating space. The faux wicker looked surprisingly natural in our earth-toned room, offering a comfy place for us to sit while watching TV and giving us many more months to work through our remodeling projects until we could get to our “real” furniture.

While there are some benefits to durable indoor furniture that can’t be improvised, the perks to outdoor furniture have been countless: it’s easy to wipe off when kids get out of hand with the magic marker, the cushions are both washable and interchangeable if needed, and the pieces are light and easy to rearrange while cleaning carpets and washing windows.

We’ll be happy to have our couch, loveseat, and recliner in their rightful places soon enough. It’s good to know, however, that an affordable outdoor set works in a pinch to keep order and comfort in the living spaces of any home.
