The HP MediaSmart Server iStream is a free downloadable software application that works only with the HP MediaSmart Server (EX485/EX487). With the app, you can stream your photo, music and video*
libraries from your server straight to your iPhone or iPod touch.
- No syncing necessary! With the iStream application, your entire photo, music and video* libraries can be accessed anywhere you have an internet connection – no more worrying that
you haven't sync'd to your iPhone or iPod touch.
- Enjoy easy access to all of your pictures, listen to your entire music collection and watch your favorite video* knowing that all of your files are protected on your
HP MediaSmart Server (EX485/EX487).

Download Instructions
The HP MediaSmart Server iStream application can be used by customers accessing a HP MediaSmart Server EX485 or EX487 only. The app is available as a free download from Apple's "App Store",
accessible from iTunes, or from your iPhone or iPod touch. Simply download the HP MediaSmart Server iStream directly to your iPhone or iPod touch, or download to your computer and manually sync
to your handheld device.
In order to install the iStream app to your device via a computer, the Apple iTunes application must be installed and in use, and your handheld device firmware must be version 2.2 or higher.

How to use the HP MediaSmart Server iStream application
Once you have downloaded the HP MediaSmart Sever iStream to your handheld device, it's only a few simple clicks to start enjoying your digital media on your iPhone or iPod touch.

1. Click on the MediaSmart icon |

2. The first time you run the app it takes you to the Settings screen.

On the Change Server screen, enter the domain name of your HP MediaSmart Server (EX485/EX487), your remote user name, and your remote user password. |

Once you enter the settings, select Go to take you to the app home page |

3. Once connected to your MediaSmart Server, you can navigate to the Music, Photos, and Videos* content available on your server.
* The iPhone and iPod touch use QuickTime video player to display H.264 encoded videos. For this reason, the HP MediaSmart Server will only stream .mov and .mp4 file formats to the
iPod touch and iPhone. Copy protected files may not stream properly.
