Troubleshooting tips

If, for any reason, you are unable to print to a local HP wireless printer using AirPrint™, follow these helpful tips:

  1. Make sure that the printer is turned on. If the printer is on, turn it off and then on again to see whether that resolves the issue.
  2. Make sure that the printer is wirelessly connected to the same network as your iOS device.
  3. Make sure that the printer has the latest firmware version installed.
  4. Make sure that the printer has paper in the tray, and that the ink or toner is not empty.
  5. Make sure there are no error messages displayed on the printer’s control panel.

NOTE: Wi-Fi printers can take several minutes to join a Wi-Fi network after being turned on. Make sure that your printer is connected to the Wi-Fi network before attempting to print.
