Performance Manager is the latest product in our family of performance
management tools.
The OpenView
Performance Manager 4.0 for UNIX is an all new web based analysis &
visualization product, which provides administrators and performance specialists a means to analyze
performance and usage trends of applications, systems and services. The product includes several major enhancements,
including:

consistent web/Java-based interface across HP-UX, Solaris and Windows
§
A
consolidated view across multiple data sources, including OV Performance
Agents, Operations Agents, Reporter, Internet Services and Smart Plug Ins
§
Predefined
templates for common performance graphs with flexibility to create new
templates…and much more

short, the HP OpenView Performance Manager for UNIX
provides the flexibility required to manage today's dynamic environments.
The OpenView Performance Manager 4.0 for UNIX is based on a new
licensing technology. As a result, the
licensing key used for OpenView Performance Manager
3.x cannot be used. To activate your new
software product, you are required to follow the instructions provided on the
enclosed Entitlement certificate. The
product is shipped with an “instant-on” trial license, thus allowing you to
begin using it immediately. However, the
trial license will expire within 60 days.
