HP-UX 11i v1 Virtual Partitions - March 2007 (vPars A.03.04) is now available.
Please note:
This release is for Select HP 9000 cell-based servers based on the HP
sx1000 or sx2000 chipsets, including:
HP 9000 Superdome, HP 9000 Superdome with sx2000, HP rp8440,
HP rp8420, HP rp8400, HP rp7440, HP rp7420, HP rp7410, HP rp7405,
HP rp7400/N4000, HP rp5470/L3000
HP-UX 11i Virtual Partitions is software that divides a physical server into multiple virtual servers, each with their own HP-UX OS, and CPU, memory and I/O resources. By using
vPars, customers can utilize unused server capacity, increase overall server utilization,
and increase flexibility of those resources.
HP-UX 11i v1 Virtual Partitions - March 2007 (vPars A.03.04) software only runs with HP-UX
11i v1. The main new capability provided by HP-UX 11i v1 vPars - March 2007 is:
vPars support for HP 9000 sx2000 cell-based servers
Customers may choose to use HP-UX 11i v1 vPars - March 2007 (vPars A.03.04), if they are
upgrading their HP9000 servers with HP-UX 11i v1 with the HP-UX 11i v1 Virtual Partitions -
March 2007 release. If the HP-UX 11i v1 vPars software is under an HP upgrade support
contract, this release would be covered by that contract.
