Support Plus for March 2003

Hewlett-Packard is pleased to announce the latest release of HP-UX Support Plus.  These tested bundles include patches that fix HP-UX defects, enable new hardware, and provide diagnostic tools.  Support Plus is available to customers by request only.  Please use the following information to decide whether this release is right for you.

New in Support Plus!

HP understands the pressures you face to keep your IT infrastructure seamlessly up and running, so we have created a new remote support solution to help -- Instant Support Enterprise Edition (ISEE).

HP ISEE enables us to deliver remote support services to you over the Internet that supplement your same day – 4 hr. hardware support contract or higher.  ISEE provides real-time hardware event monitoring and notification to help identify and prevent potential critical problems.  Should a problem occur, ISEE enables faster restoration of your supported systems and devices, using remote diagnostic scripts and direct remote secure access by an HP support engineer.   As a result of ISEE’s availability and increased functionality, HP-UX Predictive will be discontinued.

In order to assist you with your future systems planning, Hewlett-Packard would like to remind you that HP-UX Predictive Support will be discontinued on June 30, 2003.  As a part of this discontinuance process, the Support Plus 0303 (Version 11.0 Series 800) will be the last release in which HP-UX Predictive is distributed on physical media.  After June 30, 2003, HP-UX Predictive software will no longer be available on Software Depot.  HP-UX Predictive end of service begins on April 1, 2004.  After this date, Predictive events for HP-UX will no longer be processed.

HP encourages you to begin using ISEE as soon as possible so that you can reap the additional benefits of this new technology.  Starting March 2003, ISEE is included in the Support Plus media for your convenience.  You can find more information on ISEE http://www.hp.com/hps/tech/resources/elect/isee.htm.

HP-UX Support Plus will be released as two CDs, one for HP-UX 11.0 and one for HP-UX 11i.
