We are pleased to inform you that your support agreement entitles you to receive the HP OpenView Operations for Unix Update OVSPI3 release, which includes the updated HP OpenView Smart Plug-In CDs.


What's new with this version?

 

This version includes an update of the HP OpenView Smart Plug-in CDs.  If you currently use, or intend to evaluate Smart Plug-ins, this update release is strongly recommended for you.  There are no changes to HP OpenView Operations itself, only to the Smart Plug-ins.

BEA Tuxedo: added support for MS Windows managed nodes, quality improvement

BEA Weblogic Application Server: improved support and additional metrics for WebLogic 7.0

HP Storage Area Manager: comprehensive enhancements

IBM WebSphere Application Server: quality improvement

Informix: updated o/s and database version support

MS SQL Server: updated o/s and database version support, new User Defined Metric capability to add custom metrics, improved logfile monitoring, improved performance, new metrics for longest running transaction, database backup, and transactionlog backup

mySAP.com: new remote monitoring capability to manage SAP on any o/s platform, updated o/s and SAP version support, added ST03 buffer statistics, enhancements for job monitor, event messages specify originating monitor

Network Diagnosis Add-on Module: improved service view integration

Oracle: added support for HP Tru64 UNIX managed nodes, updated o/s and database version support, compatibility with Oracle Real Application Clusters, enhanced service reports

Sybase: updated o/s and database version support, improved logfile template conditions

Remedy Action Request System: updated Remedy version support

Unix operating system: updated o/s version support, on Sun Solaris added support for Solstice disk suite, and Veritas Volume Manager/File System

Web servers: quality improvement
