For customers on support for these specific products:

 

NNM 6.41 is an upgrade to NNM 6.2 and 6.31 versions. In order to receive the NNM 6.41 software update, you must return the enclosed NNM 6.41 Release Request Form.

 

If applicable to you, NNM Extended Topology 2.01 is an update to NNM Extended Topology 1.50 and 1.51, enabling compatibilityand must be used with NNM Version 6.41.  In order to receive the NNM ET 2.01 software update, you must return the enclosed NNM ET 2.01 Release Request Form.

 

 

Important!  NNM 5.x, 6.0x, 6.1, 6.30 and ET 1.50 Obsolescence Planning Information

 

In order to assist you with your future planning, hp would additionally likeis making the following obsolesence information available to you at the earliest possible time. to inform you of our We planplans to discontinue sales of and support for NNM versions 5.0, 5.01, 5.02, 6.0, 6.01, 6.1, 6.30 and Extended Topology 1.50.  This letter serves as hp OpenView’s formal announcement of the planned obsolescence of NNM versions 5.0, 5.01, 5.02, 6.0, 6.01, 6.1, 6.30 and NNM ET version 1.50.  We encourage customers currently using these versions to upgrade to NNM 6.41 and ET 2.01 (if applicable to you).  For details, please see “IMPORTANT DATES TO REMEMBER” on the next page.

 

In order to benefit from the newly added released versions (where applicable) of NNM and ETET (if applicable to you)  if applicable to you) features, and to ensure continuous support, we highly recommend that you begin your upgrade to hp OpenView Network Node Manager 6.41 and NNM Extended Topology 2.01 (if applicable to you) as soon as possible.

 


 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


NOTE: Support for NNM versions 6.2, 6.31 and NNM ET 1.51 will continue until further notice.  However, due to conditions beyond our control, we want to remind you of HP’s plans to end support for HP-UX 10.20, and Microsoft’s plans to end support for NT 4.0 Server.  These events affect our ability to continue to provide our customers with the previous level of support they have come to expect from us.  In order to provide you with our stated level of support for these releases of NNM and NNM ET, we highly recommend you update those systems to HP-UX 11.x or Windows 2000 Workstation (or Server) Version 4.0 well in advance of the published deadlines.
