HP OpenView Omniback II

German Release Only

Product Numbers B6961AD and B7030AD Product Discontinuance Announcement

Hewlett-Packard (HP) announced today that it will no longer offer Omniback II German release, specifically product numbers
B6961AD and B7030AD, on March 1, 2004.   HP OpenView Data Protector v5.0 and v5.1 are  the successors of Omniback II,
however a German release is not available and not planned.  Customers interested in upgrading to Data Protector should
contact their local sales representative for upgrade information. 

This notification is sent  to customers who currently have a valid support contract for these products to make you aware of this
support announcement and to inform you of your Last-Buy options.

Product numbers B6961AD and B7030AD will be removed from the HP Corporate Price List on March 1, 2004.  HP customers
who currently have a valid support contract for the above noted product numbers have the opportunity to purchase additional
Omniback v4.1 German release License-To-Use (LTU) through February 29, 2004.  These products will be non-orderable after
February 29, 2004.

Newer versions of the HP Storage Family of products, specifically HP OpenView Data Protector 5.1, include significant
enhancements that have been requested by our customers. For information about migration options, please contact your local
