Connect-It
3.70 provided extended the value for our Asset and Service Management
products within the following new capabilities: a new connector
Java SDK allowing our partners and customers to create customer
connectors; a new script debugger; a new web based management
console for managing the deployment of scenarios; support for
ServiceCenter 6.2, DecisionCenter 1.0, and Compliance Manager
2.0.
TeMIP 5.31 New Media Release (TMP531)
The newly
available TeMIP NNM Advanced Integration 5.3 offers a complete
OSS solution for next generation networks and services. Now, service
providers can reap the advantages of a single vendor, tightly
integrated OSS solution, for highly efficient operations of Next
Generation Networks (NGN), reducing operational costs and ensuring
the best user experience. Key features and benefits are:
- Single
and powerful OSS IP Management console to reduce operational
costs for converged Telco and IP network management
- Complete
topology view from physical network to access network (TeMIP
+ Network Node Manager + Route Analytics Management System)
- for rapid root cause analysis and service impact determination.
- Easy,
low cost deployment of new IP devices/services with automatic
node discovery and population of TeMIP entities, default event
mapping into TeMIP alarms.
- Operational
efficiency with management of end-to-end service view
- Advanced
integration capabilities with tools for flexible control over:
Network or Service Model (flexible hierarchical mapping).
Translation of NNM events into TeMIP standardized OSI Alarms
- Distribution
and Scalability with many deployment configurations.
For all customers running TeMIP on HP-UX 11.11 (PA-RISC) or
HP-UX 11.23 (Itanium) and to whom we can propose NNM 7.51 Advanced
Edition, this is a much more powerful and efficient integration
than the previous TeMIP NNM AM.

Monitor 5.3
TeMIP Service
Monitor 5.3 minor version update includes many capabilities to
better address Root Cause Analysis use cases, and improve performance
and usability. Key features:
- Available
on HP-UX 11.23 Itanium and HP-UX 11.11 PA-RISC, and Tru64 5.1
(including clusters)
- Introduction
of new features to enhance Root Cause Analysis capability
o Raw alarm propagation (via String propagation) to enrich status
calculation
o C++ plug-in for state calculation and action profiles
o Operational examples for use of these plug-ins
- Consolidation
of multiple features/improvements made available on earlier
TSM 5.1 (data load, What-if scenario,
)

Acknowledgement 5.3
TeMIP Alarm
Acknowledgement 5.3 minor version update introduces additional
3GPP compliant interfaces, providing capabilities to transfer
un-acknowledgment and comment information both ways (upward and
downward). Key features:
- Bidirectional
propagation of comments/operator notes
- Support
for acknowledgement and un-acknowledgement of alarms with user
ID propagation

HP Select
Identity Connectors from version 3.3.1 and 4.0 are supported for
use with Select Identity version 4.1x - however, refer to the
connector documentation for more details of supported environments.
Customers
of previous versions of Select Identity, up to and including versions
3.3.1 and 4.0, and older connectors, may wish to contact HP Consulting
and Integration Services to plan and schedule an engagement for
migration to 4.1x.
