How does it work? |
| 1. |
Applications run locally on your HP Workstation and take full advantage of its compute and graphics resources. |
| 2. |
HP RGS Sender software captures the monitor image of the local HP Workstation and transmits the pixels over a network to a window on the remote PC. Your sensitive information will never leave your workstation. |
| 3. |
HP RGS Receiver software captures input from the user and transmits it back to the HP Workstation for processing and manipulation. |
| This input loop executes up to 60 times a second1 over a network to create a high performance interactive experience. Essentially, it's just like the receiver is looking at the sender's monitor and using his or her keyboard and mouse. You can collaborate just as easily as if you were all in the same room. |
Break through IT barriers |
| HP RGS supports both Microsoft Windows and Linux™ desktop operating environments so users can benefit from cross-platform access. You can drive Linux from a Windows-based HP Workstation or vice versa. |
| In addition, when you use RGS Sender on your HP Workstation, your RGS receiver can be any remote PC, like a desktop, notebook or even a thin client. |
