Introducing HP Upline

A new HP Total Care service designed to help you readily access, share, backup and store your digital content over any Internet connection. The new service is a result of HP's recent acquisition of Opelin, a company that provides secure, scalable online services including storage, backup and data migration. Additionally, you will be able to use a limited version of the service at no cost for one year!
Wherever you are, your data is only an Internet connection away. Securely share large files with customers and co-workers with a simple email link. Publish files to multiple sites as soon as you make changes. Choose how often your data is backed up to help ensure your files are protected in the event local PCs are compromised or destroyed.

Support

Remote Access

Access your account from any Internet-enabled PC using your secured login and password.
Find, share, publish and restore any of your files stored online.

File Sharing

Share files of any size with coworkers, business associates and customers using your secured login and password.
Recipients receive a link contained in an email message to download the file.
Shared files can be password protected and can be shared for variable time periods ranging from one day to six months.
By default, any changes to the master file are immediately shared with the recipients ensuring that everyone has the latest version of the file.

File Publishing

Publish files once and generate a URL that can be used to place published content on the Internet.
By default, all published files are kept up to date when you upload once to HP Upline.

Online Backup

By default, all user-selected files and directories are automatically and continuously backed up to the online storage site. In most cases, the backup process will run with no user intervention required.
All backups are stored and transmitted using the latest stripping, compression and encryption technologies.

Data Migration

User selected files and favorites can be migrated from an old PC to a new PC using the data migration service.
Users have 60 days from when they upload their data and settings to download their information to their new PC.
Users can migrate an unlimited amount of data using this service.

Local File Backup

Users are prompted to create backup copies of their files which can be written to CD, DVD, NAS, USB drive or a second partition on the hard drive.
Users will be reminded on a regular basis to backup their files.

Administrative Dashboard

The office manager, owner or IT resources can set up, control, manage, administer and track use of the services.
