Read the fine print |
| HP printing has been recognized as an industry leader with numerous accolades. HP printers are the only ones to win the PC Magazine's Readers' Choice Award for service and reliability for 16 years in a row. |
| So, with HP's impeccable record, are the potential problems of remanufactured toner cartridges-premature failure, spills, smudges, wasted paper and wasted time-worth the risk? |
| The choice, just like the printing, is clear. |
The brains of your printing |
| When you consider the true value of your toner cartridge, think about this: More than 70% of the printing system is contained in an Original HP LaserJet toner cartridge-every time you replace your cartridge, you get new components. |
| And why is this important? |
| Every two seconds, these components perform seven precision tasks flawlessly, producing high quality output while also giving your printer a built-in tune-up. That's something remanufactured toner cartridges simply cannot do. |

The bad, the worse and the ugly |
 | | Remanufactured toner cartridge with built up toner can lead to print defects |
| A lot of things can happen when you purchase a remanufactured toner cartridge: |
| • |
Bad printouts from worn or used components, frequently not replaced in remanufactured toner cartridges |
| • |
Toner impurities that can lead to substandard printing |
| • |
Leakage on clothes, paper and printer caused from blown-out seals |
| • |
Print defects such as streaking or banding |
| You can avoid these potential pitfalls with one simple step: always buy Original HP Black LaserJet toner cartridges. |
Another well-rounded reason to trust HP |
| Original HP toner particles are engineered to be rounder and smoother for precise placement on the page, while remanufactured toner cartridges often include toner gathered from random sources. The jagged particles from remanufactured toner can cause greater wear and tear on your printer, compromising print quality and performance. |

Get the pages you deserve |
| Many remanufactures quote yields based on non-industry standards. So you never really know how many pages you can expect to print. Every HP toner cartridge meets or exceeds the industry standard for measuring toner cartridge yield, ISO/IEC 19752.* |

| Trust HP, where standards are built into every cartridge. |

For all products compatible with printers sold before June, 1999 HP publishes yields using our previous proprietary yield measurement methodology, which is reasonably consistent with the ISO standard for toner cartridge yield. The HP method uses statistical methodologies that are similar to the ISO standard and more rigorous in some cases. For example, The HP method generally tests more printers and cartridges than required by the ISO standard. The HP method uses a test page based on 5% coverage. Yields for these older products can be found by searching for the printer or print cartridge in the product information on hp.com.
