| The design of this machine is amazing! No creeks, metal finish. Awesome energy saver, you can barely feel the warmth of the machine when it's operating. This machine can last for years without failure since no internal chip becomes hot enough to wear out over time. Supports 3612QM processor which is one of the rare core i7 processors with intergrated graphics option, if you value both number-crunching power and long lasting battery operation. 16GB of RAM combined with 2GB dedicated graphics memory is the best recipe for graphics processing and design. Though they spoiled the seasoning by limiting the 2GB graphics memory architecture to DDR3 otherwise GDDR5 would have made the machine a gaming masterpiece. Its so rare to come across such a powerful laptop, with a fast spinning harddisk, capable of lasting for over 12 hours off the mains! |

| This is a great little box. The mouse pad/keys & keyboard are as good as a regular keyboard & mouse. My Skype contacts say the HD webcam makes their view of me very clear. It's the perfect size & weight for traveling. |

| I was looking for a new laptop that has a serial port. After searching long and hard, this is the only laptop in production that has a real serial port.
Only wish a back lit keyboard was an option, other than that I am very happy with the purchase. |

Whether I have right of speech I don't know, because I souped up my 8760w with everything which could be added to make it "super" or "ultimate power". Is mine therefore "run of the mill" / "standard"? No way, but I don't think these are made to be bought as "standard - cheapest possible". For that there's plenty other PC's/laptops. I wanted mine to load up fast, process most complex work (very-) fast, be constructed dependable and strong, have a fantastic screen (also screen size), have plenty of (charging-) USB (-2) connectors, have a docking station with extra memory capacity and multiple screen possibilities. And still be portable. That's my thorough-bred workhorse!
The help-desk / call-center has (apparently-) been smart enough to assign knowledgeable staff to this big ticket business focused line. Very satisfied with them.
The 6 touch-pad buttons can be tasked specifically after downloading the specific software. Somehow that didn't come pre-installed.
No more wishes for "the beast", because I got everything that I wanted, thought and expected to need.

| My company has rolled out many of these and we are very impressed with the build quality and performance. It has a really premium feel and the keyboard is excellent as the keys are well spaced and feel indestructible. Relatively quiet and cool as well thanks to the latest sandy bridge processors. |

| a bargain which runs nicely at my home for 4 months now. It does everyday work with ease and its very stable. The opaque monitor is joyfull in daylight conditions.
The flaws are as follows: Lots of preinstalled hp gadgets nowbody uses (of the 320 g you will only be able to use as much as 200 g!). The touchpad cannot compete with mac. The fan is almost all the time running when not on battery. so not the most quite notebook... |

| This laptop does everything and more. Unlike another reviewer, I've not had any dropped wifi connections. It is very fast and I love the fact it doesn't come with any bloatware.
Friends who've owned more business laptops than me believe this thing to be built very solid. Sure, it's not as thin as some, but it's still easily manageable and I'm more interested in functionality than style points.
I was originally concerned about the 3 year factory warranty. Since this is a replacement for a lesser model laptop from HP, I feel like I can speak to that as well. Not only were HP Tech Support folks easy to get in touch with (and to deal with), they were also incredibly fast at fascilitating the return. In fact they next day aired a packing box to me with a next day air label enclosed. All I did was load up the laptop, call FedEx and it was done. About three days later the laptop was back at my door...WOW. I'm not sure the local Best Buy store would have been faster. Unfortunately some of the problems resurfaced, but HP uprgraded me at no charge and sent me this new laptop immediately.
Really fantastic customer service.
I hope this helps. |

| Great product. Use it for development and gaming with no issues at all. Solid build feels sturdy unlike many notebooks that feel flimsy and fragile. Keyboard has a nice feel to it and built-in finger print reader is very handy for logging into the computer and websites.
The graphics card handles most tasks with ease and only shows signs of slowing down with high-end games on max or graphical rendering in 3D studios.
5 stars from me. |

| My wife is a CPA and she consults for several different companies. So the combination of semi-ruggedized construction along with a separate numeric keypad makes for the best possible laptop for her. I don't know why HP doesnt market these better (eg, at Best Buy, etc); they are SO much better than the consumer laptops (which are flimsy). |

| Good laptop. Good idea with illuminated keyboard.
Ugly keyboard... Looks cheap.
Please move the AC/DC adapter connector in the laptop's right side (left side viewed from front). Same problem with other cables. A better quality display will be appreciated. |
