Description

This zip-format file contains software version K.14.41 for the ProCurve Series 3500yl, 5400zl, 6200yl, and 8200zl switches. The file includes the switch software (K_14_41.swi), the release notes (yl-zl-RelNotes-K1441-59925498a.pdf) and a Readme file (_IMPORTANT-K1441-Readme.txt). This software release is described in detail in the document: Release Notes Version K.14.41 Software (PDF: 873 KB) on the ProCurve Web site.

Boot ROM Update Required!

A successful update to K.14.41 may require multiple steps, depending on your current software and boot ROM levels. Please see details in the table below.

If your software version is: Your next step should be:
K.11.11 through K.12.29
(boot ROM K.12.10 - K.12.11)		 Update and reload into software version K.12.62
K.12.31 through K.12.62
(boot ROM K.12.12)		 Update and reload directly into version K.13.68
K.13.49 or newer (confirm boot ROM K.12.14 or newer using ‘show flash’)
K.14 (any version) 		Update directly into software version K.14.41

All yl and zl switches running K.13.55 system software or earlier will have the BootROM updated by this new version of system software. Following file copy to the switch flash and initiation of the reload, no additional intervention is needed.

Do not interrupt power to the switch during this important update.
CAUTION - Updating to New Major Software version:

It is important that you archive your configuration prior to updating to a new major software version. Configurations saved by a new major software version are not backward-compatible with the previous major software revision. If you have updated to a new major software version and rolled back to a previous version at some point, it is best to load a saved configuration onto your switch. Please see the release notes for best practice recommendations for major software updates.
