Description

This zip-format file contains software version K.13.09 for the ProCurve Series 3500yl, 5400zl, 6200yl, and 8212zl switches. The file includes the switch software (K_13_09.swi), the release notes (yl-zl-RelNotes-K1309-59914720.pdf) and a ReadMe file (_IMPORTANT-K1309-ReadMe.txt). This software release is described in detail in the document: Release Notes Version K.13.09 Software (PDF: 1.24 MB) on the ProCurve Web site.

CAUTION - Updating to Version K.13.09:

It is important that you update to K.13.xx from a configuration that has not been previously converted from a pre-K.13.xx format and subsequently rolled back to a previous version (e.g. a K.11.xx or K.12.xx). If you have previously updated to K.13.xx and rolled back to K.12.xx to workaround an issue, you should load a saved K.12.xx configuration to the switch and boot to it prior to updating to K.13 again. Archive Pre-K.13.xx Configuration Files before updating! A configuration file saved under version K.13.03 software is not backwards-compatible with previous software versions.

BootROM Update!

All yl and zl switches running K.12.25 system software or earlier will have the BootROM updated by this new version of system software. This software download will boot the switch twice, first to update the BootROM to version K.12.12, and then to load the updated system software. Following file copy to the switch flash and initiation of the reload, no additional user intervention is needed. Do not interrupt power to the switch during this important update. Please see the release notes for additional information.
Attention:

Switch software Version K.12.31 (or later) is required for the proper functioning of ProCurve Switch 8212zl (Products J8715A and J9091A).

Switch software Version K.12.43 (or later) is required for the proper functioning of ProCurve Wireless Edge Services zl Module (Product J9051A) and ProCurve Redundant Wireless Edge Services zl Module (Produce J9052A).
