Description

This zip-format file contains software version K.12.57 for the ProCurve Series 3500yl, 5400zl, 6200yl, and 8212zl switches. The file includes the switch software (K_12_57.swi), the release notes (yl-zl-RelNotes-K1257-59914720.pdf) and a ReadMe file (_IMPORTANT-K1257-ReadMe.txt). This software release is described in detail in the document: Release Notes Version K.12.57 Software (PDF: 681 KB) on the ProCurve Web site.

Please read before updating to K.12.xx from K.11.xx: If you use ACLs numbered 200 or higher or if you use OSPF virtual links, see "Support Notices" on page 1 of the release notes for important information on these features.
Attention:

Switch software Version K.11.17 (or later) is required for the proper functioning of ProCurve Switch yl 10-GbE 2-Port CX4 and 2-Port X2 Module (Product J8694A).

Switch software Version K.12.31 (or later) is required for the proper functioning of ProCurve Switch 8212zl (Products J8715A and J9091A).

Switch software Version K.12.43 (or later) is required for the proper functioning of ProCurve Wireless Edge Services zl Module (Product J9051A) and ProCurve Redundant Wireless Edge Services zl Module (Produce J9052A).
 
BootROM Update!

All yl and zl switches running K.12.25 system software or earlier will have the BootROM updated by this new version of system software. This software download will boot the switch twice, first to update the BootROM to version K.12.12, and then to load the updated system software. Following file copy to the switch flash and initiation of the reload, no additional user intervention is needed. Do not interrupt power to the switch during this important update.
