Software summary

This compressed, Zip format file contains software version H.07.87 for the ProCurve Series 2600 6108 Switches (H_07_87.swi) and Release Notes (6108-RelNotes-h0787-59912157.pdf). This version is compatible with the 2600 Series (J4899A & J4900A) and 6108 (J4902A) and the 2600-PWR Series (J8164A & J8165A) switches.

Note: H.07.xx software cannot be run on on a Revision B, 2600 switch (J4899B or J4900B).

This software release is described in detail in the document: Release Notes: Version H.07.87 Operating System for the ProCurve Switch 6108 Series (pdf: 266 KB). The Release Notes contain information regarding new features added and software fixes in this and previous versions of this software and includes an errata to the current Management and Configuration Guide for these switches.

Note: The startup-config file saved under version H.07.31 or greater, is NOT backward-compatible with previous software versions. Users are advised to save a copy of the pre-H.07.31 startup-config file BEFORE UPGRADING to H.07.31 or greater, in case there is ever a need to revert to pre-H.07.31 software. Instructions for saving a copy of the startup-config file are found in the "Transferring Switch Configurations" section of Appendix A in the Management and Configuration Guide (included in PDF format on the Product Documentation CD-ROM) shipped with the switch, and also available on the ProCurve Networking Web site.
