Number Two Networking Vendor ProCurve Networking by HP Continues Strong Port and Revenue Growth
Strong advancement in revenue with nearly 12 percent sequential increase in Q2 2005

PALO ALTO, Calif., August 30, 2005 - ProCurve Networking by HP today announced that the business is number two in global port market share based on second quarter 2005 numbers from Dell'Oro Group, a leading market research firm. ProCurve increased its overall port market share to 8.9 percent, up from 7.7 percent in first quarter. Dell'Oro Group also reports ProCurve is number three in revenue share with an 11.7 percent sequential increase over first quarter 2005.

The Dell'Oro Group report, which examines the overall Ethernet switch market, also showed that ProCurve more than doubled its Layer 2 and Layer 3 market revenue growth with a 13 percent increase in the first half of 2005 compared to 2004. According to Dell'Oro Group figures, total Layer 2, Layer 3 market growth was a 5.17 percent increase between first half 2005 and first half 2004.

In addition, ProCurve's layer 2 through layer 7 Ethernet worldwide port shipments grew 30 percent in the second quarter, more than twice the market rate of 13.4 percent.
