The Dell'Oro Group report, which examines the overall Ethernet switch market, also showed that ProCurve more than doubled its Layer 2 and Layer 3 market revenue growth with a 13 percent increase in the first half of 2005 compared to 2004. According to Dell'Oro Group figures, total Layer 2, Layer 3 market growth was a 5.17 percent increase between first half 2005 and first half 2004.
In addition, ProCurve's layer 2 through layer 7 Ethernet worldwide port shipments grew 30 percent in the second quarter, more than twice the market rate of 13.4 percent.
