The EDGE Fabric is designed to be the best choice to interconnect intelligent edge devices, providing a cost-effective, high-bandwidth and resilient connection. The requirements of these emerging applications can be met only by intelligence and control at the edge, which reduces the need for centralized intelligence in the network core. The ProCurve EDGE Fabric strives to be the optimal combination of affordability, performance, reliability and scalability to interconnect intelligent edge devices, including switches and access points.
ProCurve will offer EDGE Fabric and traditional core solutions to interconnect the intelligent edge. The EDGE Fabric will interoperate with customers' existing network infrastructures allowing for a seamless migration to a complete Adaptive EDGE Architecture.
