| HP ProCurve experiences strong growth in both the U.S. and EMEA Enterprise Markets |

| Reno, Nevada — According to Synergy Research Group's recently published "WW Q2 Ethernet Switch Market Shares," ProCurve Networking by HP advanced for the second straight quarter in market share gains and reinforced its claim for the #2 position after Cisco in the total Ethernet Switch market. Notable advances also came from NetGear, who outshipped both Cisco/Linksys and D-Link in the quarter and took the #1 spot for Unmanaged LY2 Fixed Switches, as well as F5 which maintained its #1 ranking in Content Switching for the second consecutive quarter. |

| "With Cisco's dominance in the Ethernet Switch market, market share rankings have been somewhat stable for the last couple of years," said Katie Trippet, Analyst at Synergy Research Group. "However, we are seeing some churn in the second tier of the market, and HP ProCurve is experiencing the most pronounced change by surpassing Nortel as a strong second alternative to Cisco in the U.S. and EMEA region." |

The fastest growing Ethernet Switch segment in the quarter was 10Gig Layer 3 Modular, which grew sequentially 41% in revenue and 27% in port shipments. The difference is attributed to an increase in ASP per port in the quarter. In this market, HP ProCurve also seized the #3 market share position from Foundry. Cisco also measured sizeable market share gains quarter over quarter in the 10Gig LY3 market and grew its share nearly 6 market share points.
