Fitness Membership

EDS retirees in the United States are eligible for preferred pricing on fitness club memberships through International Fitness Club Network (IFCN), a Preventure Company.

As an IFCN participant, you and your immediate family members2 are entitled to receive the fitness club's lowest membership rate for the type of membership selected.

Rates will vary according to the club size, location, facilities and programs offered. Please make an appointment with the club to discuss what kind of membership works best for you.

You are also entitled to one-week free trial coupons to as many participating clubs as you would like to visit. These can be printed on-line by going through the Preventure Web site.

To Get Started:

  • On the Web: Please visit the Preventure Web site to start searching for health and fitness clubs near you. There are many participating clubs in the IFCN network including participating Curves and Gold's locations, Bally's and LifeTime Fitness and many individually owned facilities as well. Even so, please be sure to speak to someone in the club's membership department to ensure the club you've selected is part of the IFCN network. Don't forget, you can refer a club that is not listed as a participating member. IFCN will invite those clubs to enroll in the network.
  • Telephone: Call IFCN's toll-free, 24-hour, Customer Service Line at 800 866 8466 and identify yourself as an EDS employee. IFCN's fully trained customer service representatives will be happy to help you locate clubs in your area and assist you with any other issues.

How do I join a club?

Once you've identified which IFCN club you would like to join, be sure to mention IFCN and that you are an EDS retiree. You will be offered their lowest membership rate for the type of membership you've selected. This may mean reduced initiation fees, lower monthly dues, or both depending on that club's lowest rates, which will vary from club to club and the amenities offered.

If you would like to try out the club before joining, print out the free one-week trial coupon, go in to the club and speak with someone in the club's membership department.

Most clubs will extend what is established as their corporate rate, but the rates are determined at each club, as some clubs do not have "corporate programs." All additional transactions will take place between you and the club directly.

If you are already a member of a fitness facility, you may already be getting the club's "lowest membership rate." Clubs are not obligated to change the rate you have agreed to in your contract, however, be sure to inquire when you renew!

Non-Fitness Club Benefits

IFCN also features preferred pricing on home fitness equipment and self-help kits. You can also view details on the Rockport Walking Program or the Presidential Sports Award.

For more information or assistance, please call International Fitness Center Network Member Services at 1 800 866 8466.
