The HP Apache-based Web Server bundle includes the CERTMIG tool in binary form. The CERTMIG utility can be used to migrate iPlanet's certificates over to the HP Apache-based Web Server. It is built using the NSS version 3.2 source, and is an extension of the PK12UTIL utility provided by the Mozilla community. The NSS version 3.2 sources can be downloaded from NSS version 3.2 sources download

CERTMIG does not contain all components of NSS, but only the required components for converting iPlanet certificates, key translations and certificate chains to that of HP Apache-based Web Server. The Frequently Asked Questions for NSS can be found under: Frequently Asked Questions

See mozilla/security/nss/cmd/certmig for binaries, object and source. (see download instructions below for the sources)

The certmig program provides the following functionality:

  1. Displays a list of certificates in the iPlanet Cert. database
  2. Extract any public domain (CA) certificates from the database
  3. Extract certificate and the corresponding keys in the PKCS#12 format (.. and other pk12util features)
