The HP StorageWorks DAT 72 tape drive is the fifth generation of HP's popular DDS tape drives and the perfect choice for small and medium businesses, remote offices, and workgroups. The DAT 72 delivers a capacity of 72 GB on a single data cartridge and a transfer rate of 21.6 GB/hr (assuming a 2:1 compression ratio), plus full support for HP One-Button Disaster Recovery.

The HP StorageWorks DAT 72 USB is not currently available as a rack-mount option for the HP xw6600 Workstation .

Compatible Controllers, Host Bus Adapters and Switches:

The HP StorageWorks DAT 72 USB can be connected directly to the embedded USB 2.0 ports on the HP xw6600 Workstation motherboard.

Note: The HP StorageWorks DAT 72 USB internal tape drive connects directly to the internal USB 2.0 port embedded on the HP xw6600 Workstation motherboard with the supplied USB cable. The HP StorageWorks DAT 72 USB external tape drive connects directly to the external USB 2.0 ports at the front or rear of the HP xw6600 Workstation chassis with the supplied USB cable..
