The HP StorageWorks Ultrium 448 is an affordable, half-height LTO 2 drive with 400 GB of compressed capacity on a single cartridge and a transfer rate of 172 GB/hr (assuming 2:1 data compression). The Ultrium 448 is fully read- and write-compatible with all first-generation Ultrium tape drives. This drive features HP's exclusive dynamic data rate matching to optimize performance and maximize reliability and supports HP One-Button Disaster Recovery on HP ProLiant servers.

The HP ProLiant DL585 Storage Server (Retired) does not have a suitable integrated SCSI controller for connecting the HP StorageWorks Ultrium 448 SCSI . Please use one of the following compatible HBAs:
