Important: Please note that HP StorageWorks DAT 160 SAS external drive options use one free server PCI back panel slot to route the provided internal-to-external SAS cable from an internal SAS HBA connector port to the drive. Compatible Controllers, Host Bus Adapters and Switches:

The HP Integrity rx6600 does not have a suitable embedded SAS controller for connecting the HP StorageWorks DAT 160 SAS . Please use one of the following compatible SAS HBAs:

PCI Express Host Bus Adapters :

  • AH303A - HP SC44Ge Int/Ext PCIe SAS HBA (HP-UX, OpenVMS, Linux)
  • AH226A - HP PCIe Smart Array E500 SAS Controller (Windows, Linux). External only, cable required
  • AD335A - HP PCIe P800 SAS RAID Controller (Windows, Linux) (Internal/External)
External SAS cable options:
  • AE466A - HP 2m InfiniB-Min External Tape SAS Cable (for AH303A)
  • AE468A - HP 4m InfiniB-Min Rack-Mount Kit SAS Cable (for AH303A)
  • AE470A - HP 2m Min-Min External Tape SAS Cable (for AH226A, AD335A)
  • AE465A - HP 4m Min-Min Rack-Mount Kit SAS Cable (for AH226A, AD335A)
  • AE464A - HP 4m Mini-SAS Int-Ext 3x/1x Rack-Mount SAS Split Cable 7
