D2D4000 Backup System

HP StorageWorks D2D4000 Backup System provides consolidated, disk-based data protection for small and medium size data centers in an intelligent self-managing 2U rack-mountable solution. The HP D2D4000 Backup System (Fibre Channel) features backup speeds of more than 288 GB/hr over Fibre Channel, RAID 6 protection and HP Dynamic deduplication for up to 50x more data storage on the same physical disk.

Fibre Channel Connectivity
The HP StorageWorks D2D4000 Backup System (Fibre Channel) supports single switch Fabric Attach SAN configurations with the following compatible Fibre Channel switches:

» HP StorageWorks 4/8 SAN Switch
» HP StorageWorks 4/16 SAN Switch
» Brocade 4Gb SAN Switch for HP c-Class BladeSystem

Note: Support is currently available for homogeneous operating system configurations only, with a maximum of 3 servers per configured virtual autoloader, for a maximum total of 24 hosts per HP D2D4000 Backup System (Fibre Channel).
