| HP is committed to HP 9000 server customers. With the recent introduction of the PA-8900 processor, HP completes the successful line of PA-RISC
processors and provides an enhanced springboard for HP 9000 to HP Integrity evolution.
We plan to sell HP-UX 11i on HP 9000 entry-class, mid-range and Superdome systems until at least December 2008, with support until at least December 2013.

Path forward
HP 9000 customers will be able to take advantage of performance improvements with the PA-8900 processor (the ultimate PA-RISC generation) thru a simple in-box upgrade. In addition, at any point in
time customers will be able to evolve to the HP Integrity line of servers. This is also achieved through in-box upgrades.
The end result is:
- Customers have additional performance and scalability available to them within the HP 9000 servers
- Customers have the ability to pick the time that is right for them to move to HP Integrity Servers
- Simple evolution to PA-8900 and HP Integrity Servers (In-box upgrades)
- Tools, partners & services available to help customers evolve to HP Integrity Servers
All combined HP 9000 customers benefit from superior investment protection.
