Standards Compliance
The HP AMC expansion blade is designed to comply with industry standards: PICMG 3.0 (AdvancedTCA), AMC.0 (subject to ECN002), AMC.1, AMC.2, and AMC.3, (AdvancedTCA Modular Card). With this level of industry standard compliance customers have a wealth of choices for AMCs to work from to meet their application needs.

Supports Up to Three 80W AMCs
The HP AMC expansion blade supports three AMCs with power requirements up to 80W per AMC, so that the highest performance AMCs, including Digital Signaling Processing (DSP) AMCs, can be placed in the AMC expansion blade.

Hot-Swappable AMCs
The AMC cards housed in the HP AMC Expansion Blade are hot-swappable, enabling the ability to remove and replace an AMC while the expansion blade is operating. This feature allows the user to change the AMC configuration or repair an AMC without impacting service, because it is essential that telecommunications equipment be highly available.
