When you purchase a scanner that ships with HP Smart Document Scan Software, you’ll receive the help you need to set up scan profiles, settings, and destinations.
HP Scanjet products offer software such as Presto! PageManager, ScanSoft® PaperPort®, IRIS Readiris™ Pro OCR, and Presto! BizCardSM Reader, so you can organize, share, and print scanned images more easily. ScanSoft PaperPort is compatible with Microsoft® Windows® 2000 and XP, and Windows Vista®. Presto! PageManager is compatible with Windows 2000 and XP, Windows Vista, and Mac OS X 10.3 or higher.
Select HP Scanjet products make it easy to send multiple document types, sizes, and weights through the scanner at one time. With HP Precision Feed technologies, you can accurately scan mixed stacks of paper, from A8-size documents to legal-size documents weighing 13 to 32 pounds (49 to 120 g/m2).
Some HP Scanjet products feature an integrated imprinter, so you can better track your scanned documents. This imprinter prints a page number, character string, or distinguishable mark on the back of scanned, hard-copy pages. You need an Original HP ink cartridge to create an imprinted mark on your hard-copy documents, so be sure to purchase separately.
