RTE-A $TIME+2 values.
In case you happened to look at the $TIME+2 value on
RTE-A you might wonder why it seems a bit too large. As noted, RTE-A
keeps the number of days since January 1, 1976 in $TIME+2.
However, the days are based on 366 days/year for every year (not just
leap years). Also, the count starts at zero (0) with January 1, 1976
being day zero (0).
RTE-6 $TIME+2 values.
On RTE-6/VM the days in $TIME+2 are the actual days since
January 1, 1970. This is counting 365 days/year for normal years and
366 days/year for leap years. As with RTE-A, the counting starts with
zero (0) but starts with January 1, 1970 instead of January 1, 1976.
