 (1) Patch available for NS/1000 sockets problem

     A patch has been made available which addresses a problem where
     Probe PCB Records and DSAM get saturated.  The condition can cause
     networking to hang requiring NS to be restarted.  Although the
     conditions required to cause this problem are somewhat rare (only
     one reported case) we have made a patch available that corrects
     this problem.

     The details of the problem can be found in SR# 5003-328518.

     To obtain a patch, send an e-mail to:

     you will receive the patch and instructions on how to install it.
