The table below lists possible components that you may have on your system, along with the corresponding component or tool from which you can choose. For example,
if you want to:

  • emulate/simulate:
These port your existing/native HP e3000 solution components (UI, Compiler, etc.) to other HP platforms, providing for HP e3000 emulation. HP e3000 emulation libraries (ISV) are installed on the target platform. HP e3000 solution components execute as if they were on the MPE/iX platform using API calls to emulation libraries.

  • translate:
These options convert your existing native HP e3000 solution code to run on your target platform. The translated solution is executed on the target platform as native code.

  • rewrite/reengineer:
These options re-architect/write your existing HP e3000 solution for the new target platform environment, all together eliminating the HP e3000 legacy environment. These options take advantage of cutting edge technologies allowing for greater flexibility and supportability.
